New Me, This Halloween!

This Halloween marks one year since I fell into my depression after losing three family members last year. I remember how it felt to be in bed that weekend, hiding alone, in the dark, scrolling through Instagram while my friends were out partying. It was at that moment of hitting “Rock Bottom” when I realized this is not how I can continue going on with life.

So, I said “F this mediocre mess!”

I decided I was going to do whatever it took to make a difference in the world so I can be happy and damn proud of myself while help others in the process. I hired a business coach named Erika Sheffer, to help me turn my business idea into a reality and the moment I hired her I began to learn so much about being a happy person and a good business woman.

Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t start a business and poof I’m happy and everything worked out perfectly. There have been some twists and turns, ups and downs, gains and losses since I officially launched my services and started booking clients. I’ve cried because I lost money in an investment, I’ve smiled and jumped for joy because I was offered a speaking gig in my city, NYC, I’ve missed out on events because I was in the middle of launching, and I’ve learned to make my business work with my lifestyle and not against it so I wouldn’t miss important things.  It has honestly been a crazy ride, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I’ve learned so much from each experience, my lessons have been invaluable. I’ve also met some amazing new people which is so important when starting a new business because your network attributes to your net worth. I’ve been offered speaking gigs and interviews, in various parts of the country, and have been thanked for my work in many ways. I’ve learned what I want my business to be about, what I want it to stand for, and what things I don’t want to be a part of as well.

As of late, my Business Coaching services are at a halt. I’ve learned that although I have experience in business and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, teaching business is not where my passion lies at this time. Many intelligent women with great ideas want to start businesses but more women are lacking the self-love and confidence to even believe in themselves to do so. So yes, I could sell high-end coaching packages, book high-end clients and make 6-figures by offering business coaching but that work doesn’t light me up. I’d much rather focus on helping the woman who just got divorced and she wants to boost her self-esteem, or the young woman who just broke up with her boyfriend because he cheated on her and now she wants to work on her self-worth, or the woman who believes her value lies in her body and not her beautiful mind and she wants to change that.

I want women to achieve their own version of success. I believe success is defined differently by each woman but ultimately we all just want to feel respected, appreciated, and loved. All three of these feelings start from within and my job, as an Empowerment Life Coach for women, is to help women reach the point where they know how to feel this way long after I've helped them.

Right now I have a lot of major things in the works and I’m excited to release some new and exciting projects and products very soon. I'm currently offering my one-on-one life coaching here and once I reach 5,000 followers on my Instagram platform, at I will be releasing some details so stay tuned, make sure you’re following me, and send your squad my way too. I’m kind of addicted to helping women learn to love themselves and live a life they love so the more come my way the better.

But, truly this is not a brag letter so I hope it doesn’t feel like one. It’s just a letter to show you how much can change in a year and how you can find the happiness you desire if you are ready to put in the work. I hope you are ready to put in the work because you damn sure deserve it, babe!

How has your 2016 been? If you want a change you can wait until 2017 to start anew or you can book an Empowering Life Coaching session here
