Now, as an adult living in this crazy modern 2019 world as a millennial Black woman, where social injustices, twisted information on the internet, and a lunatic in the White House, it’s important for me to make sure I’ve got my head on straight and my mind right. Journaling is the perfect way to ensure I’m constantly transforming my life for the better.
As the year begins to close and 2018 steadily appears on the horizon, it’s common for people to get ready to start fresh and make major changes in their lives. They start chanting things like, “New Year, New Me,” "2018 is about to be Lit," they buy new journals and planners, and maybe even create a vision board. They get so hype at the idea of finishing the upcoming year as someone better than ever, only to realize in horror that they’ve just repeated the same year again.
So, I’m guessing you’re here because you’re a procrastinator, right? You are also someone who knows there’s a better life waiting for you in the future but you can’t quite seem to get there. Am I right again? You’ve realized you’re probably not moving forward in life as fast as you would like because your procrastination and is taking control over your life, amplifying your stress and anxiety, and you want to know why, so you can stop it.
I declare 2017 to be an awesome year for us! I plan to keep shedding off my fears, tapping into my potential, and learning how to live a better life in the new year. I have some great intentions in place for now and in the near year and I hope you do too.
Now, before we head into 2017, it’s only natural that we take a look back at what we do and don’t want to repeat in the new year.
